If You’re Not Screaming, You’re Not Paying Attention

...and if you are paying attention and still whispering, you’re part of the damn problem.

Let’s not mince words.

Trump 2.0 isn’t running a campaign – he’s laying the groundwork for a fascist regime. And what are too many Democrats doing? Holding press conferences and praying to the ghost of bipartisanship like that’s gonna stop a man who’s openly plotting to turn the DOJ into his personal revenge squad.

Y’all. This isn't politics. It’s a five-alarm fire.

And too many folks in blue ties are still trying to roast marshmallows over the flames.

Let me say this as plainly as I can: we are staring down the barrel of white Christian authoritarianism in broad daylight and far too many Democrats are acting like it’s just another quirky quirk of our beloved democracy. Like it’s a phase. Like fascism just needs a sternly worded letter and a couple of think pieces to simmer down.

Spoiler: Fascism doesn’t respond to civility. It devours it.

Trump and his acolytes have told us exactly what they plan to do:

  • Use the military against civilians.

  • Purge government agencies of “disloyal” workers.

  • Jail political enemies.

  • Rewrite the Constitution through force, not process.

  • And coat it all in a thin layer of Jesus-scented nationalism to keep the base frothing.

This is not hypothetical. This is a manifesto.

And yet – what do we get from too many Democrats?

  • “Let’s not stoop to their level.”

  • “The system will hold.”

  • “We just need to vote harder.”

Vote harder?!

Hell, we’ve BEEN voting.

We voted when they closed our polling places.

We voted through voter ID laws, gerrymanders, purges, and puritanical theocrats whispering in Supreme Court ears.

And every damn time we do, they move the finish line.

Stop sitting on your hands!

And still – Democrats act like we’ve got all the time in the world.

Newsflash: We don’t.

This isn’t normal. This is how democracies die – not with a bang, but with a shrug from a Blue Dog Democrat worried about suburban swing voters.

There’s no excuse for this level of cowardice.
There’s no excuse for this level of silence.
There’s no excuse for watching fascism rise again on American soil and treating it like a midterm messaging challenge.

If you are in power and aren’t screaming from the rooftops right now, you don’t deserve that power.

The moment demands a spine – not a strategy memo.
It demands moral clarity – not political calculation.
It demands resistance – not “reaching across the aisle” to the people loading up the guillotine.

And if that makes some centrists uncomfortable?

Good. They should be.

Because what’s coming for us won’t stop at the border of their comfort zone. It’s coming for all of us – unless we stop pretending that fascism can be politely reasoned with.

So here’s your reminder, in case anyone’s still confused:
Fascism isn’t coming. It’s here.

And Love sure as hell doesn’t compromise with hate.
